Originally founded as "Mnemograph", TimeGlider is a timeline authoring and publishing application I've written in Flash/AS3 with a PHP/MySQL back-end. With over 17,000 users currently, TimeGlider is becoming a component in history education in many middle and high schools, but is also used in countless other business use cases.

TimeGlider also has a version for viewing the New York Times data api, so that you can do a search for "Steve Jobs" or "enchiladas" and see articles and reviews or just mentions of your keyword over the last 30 or so years. Pretty cool.
